this should display the IMEI.
NOT imsi.
it also needs to work without sim card. (thus without imsi)

I've added a GetImsi? function to the org.OpenMoko?.Network dbus interface. I
haven't test it yet, but this should be used to get the imsi number when *#06#
is dialed.
