(Qtopia)Unable to copy text in messages.

Steps:
1) Go to Messages and click New message
2)Type a word
3)select the word ,click options and copy text
4)click options again and select paste text

Expected:The word selected should be pasted and displayed
Actual : The word does not get displayed

for me even select the text is difficult... can't use the pen to select the text as I use mouse on the PC.

confirmed it happens to Om2008.9 as well.
