Philip is probably rigtht. I also had some trouble downloading portmap which
caused a similar problem. My guess is you can close this bug.

This was a failure of the nightly build, sf.net seems to have plenty of issues at midnight... I agree with

portmap built fine here, this was probably again an issue with sourceforge.

I just deleted portmap* from my sources directory and ran bitbake -crebuild
portmap. It was downloaded, unpacked and built just fine. Maybe you have a
broken download of the source tarball?
