Description

The activation of bluetooth (as explained in manually using bluetooth in the
wiki) is not possible with kernel 2.6.22.5-moko11 from Snapshot 20070829.

This works with kernel 2.6.21.6-moko11-r2 from Snapshot 20070825.

Could you please provide some clue on what step that used to work in the old
build does not work in the new one anymore ?

Cheers,

Fabien

This did also not work in previous versions, as far as I have tested them. It
was mentioned on IRC by someone that he got it to work after loading/compiling
some extra modules.

To my understanding, this never worked :-). Do you have evidence that it ever did?

I just flashed the new kernel which identifies itself (uname -a) as
fic-gta01 2.6.22.5-moko11 #1 PREEMPT Fri Aug 31 11:25:23 UTC 2007

and now I can power on bt and scan devices etc.

So it works again for you and the bug can be closed?

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Resolution set to fixed

I just build uImage-2.6.22.5-moko11-r2-fic-gta01.bin where I can power up
bluetooth by issuing:

echo -n 1 >/sys/bus/i2c/devices/0-0008/gta01-pm-bt.0/power_on

Don't know about uImage-2.6.22.5-moko11-r1-fic-gta01.bin since I looked in the
wrong path there.
