Description

The Filesystem Hierarchy Standard guarantees that files in /var/tmp are

"Temporary files preserved between system reboots"

On openmoko /var/tmp seems to be on tmpfs so it files in it are not preserved between system reboots. Please consider following FHS and making /var/tmp reside on the root filesystem. I am using the following images on freerunner in case it matters:

P.S. In case you wonder, yes, this caused dataloss since openstreetmap did not get my GPS tracks :-)

Is it also not considered a bug for openstreetmap to be writing GPS tracks to a temporary filesystem?
