Description
This bug is still in my fresh 2008.8 aug. 26th install. Was already described in wiki for 2007.2.
Browsing http://downloads.openmoko.org/repository/Om2008.8/om-gta02/ manually shows there are no .sig indeed.
I searched the trac and was surprised that there is no ticket for this.

This is one of the minor annoyances that need to be fixed I think.
Although not a problem per se, it tends to induce a bad habit from the user : not reading error messages anymore.
I was punished yesterday by such bad habbit, when I ignored "unable to download packages.gz" messages, as my brain expected "unable to download packages.sig" and was confused by the similarity.
Maybe if the messages were different it would be less confusing.
Or maybe adding the .sig in the repo wouldn't be that difficult ?
