Kernel hangs if gsm modem is powered up

If the GSM modem is powered up via
root@fic-gta01:~$ echo 1 > /sys/devices/platform/gta01-pm-gsm.0/power_on
sometimes the system hangs. It will still react to pings but userspace is dead.

This usually happens if there are attempts to write to the GSM before the device
is powered up (like starting gsmd and then powering up GSM).

This doesn't seem to happen any more with the newest rootfs and kernel (built today)

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Resolution set to fixed

Daniel has reported this was not reproduceable with newer firmware image. Might
have been a bug in the init script. Close for now.
