Sean: do we have anyone familiar with color calibration in the software/hardare
team? We need to find the optimum values for those registers....

comment:8 Changed 12 years ago by sean_chiang@…

I could be mistaken, but I think those values should have been defined in the
lcm specification, what the "red" is, what the "green" is and what the "blue"
is. So, we just ask the specification from provider and write a lcm color test
program for operator with color analyzer, right?

comment:9 Changed 12 years ago by laforge@…

ok, sure. If you think we just need to ask the LCM manufacturer for the correct
values, please ask them and get back to me with the correct values for this panel.

comment:10 Changed 12 years ago by sean_chiang@…

If we want to do "color calibration", we only need to adjust these 5 registers,
0xb1,0xb5,0xc7,0xc8,0xc9. Unfortunately, no optimal(correct) values, it totally
depends on our requirement. So, what's our requirement, darker, brighter, or..?
BTW, I got a setting (b1,b5,c7,c8,c9) = (0x9f,0x2b,0xb07f,0x64,0x91), and it
looks better for me.

What's the status on this bug?

comment:12 Changed 11 years ago by willie_chen@…

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Resolution set to fixed

Following Sean_chiang instruction, setting value is as follows

(b1,b5,c7,c8,c9) = (0x9f,0x2b,0xb07f,0x64,0x91)
